Carlene Marak has a Master of Education degree in special education and has over 30 years of experience as a former teacher, Region 10 Education Service Center Consultant, Special Education Coordinator, and Special Education Director in Texas. Carlene was the Special Education Director for both Terrell ISD and Highland Park ISD. She is currently providing consultation services to school districts in Texas and sells products developed to assist special education directors. Carlene also has worked as an accountability specialist for the U.S. Department of Interior - Bureau of Indian Education and on projects for the New Mexico State Department.
Mark J. Marak has a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Texas Health/Science Center in Dallas, Texas and a Master of Education in the area of Special Education from Texas Women's University. Mark has experience as a vocational evaluator, supervisor and unit director with Dallas County Metrocare (formerly) MHMR. He also worked as a counselor with DARS (formerly the Texas Rehabilitation Commission) specializing in transition services to students in 6 high schools located in the Dallas Area. Consultation services included Dallas County Community Corrections counseling Texas Department of Corrections parole inmates. Mark also provides vocational assessment training for McCarron-Dial Systems nationally. For over 15 years, Mark has conducted Transition Planning meetings for students and families as well as provided training on Transition Planning throughout Region 10 and the State.
